The Churches of

Hipswell Parish

Summer Concert

The Parish Church of St John’s at Hipswell is celebrating the completion of recent building works with a summer concert on Wednesday 19th June. The concert will start at 7:30pm and tickets are available on the door at £4 for adults and £2 for children including refreshments. The Ladies will be singing a mixture of classics and popular songs.

Mrs Jenny Foster, Assistant Church Warden, said:

“We’re really looking forward to the return of Brompton Ladies Choir. The concerts they’ve given in the past have been a delightful mix of old and new songs and I’m sure that this one will be just as entertaining.

We know that our church is important to the local community for baptisms, weddings and funerals. We are here at the heart of the community at festivals such as Harvest, Easter, Christmas and Remembrance.

We are very grateful for the generous legacy that helped us to fund the vital repairs to the roof and hope that the community will support our next phase of fundraising. We need provide loos, a kitchen and flexible space to allow us to deliver our vision of wide community use of the building for many purposes, including children’s work and special events.”
